FENTON, Mo. -- Central's boys soccer team completed its regular season by shutting out Jefferson City 3-0 on Thursday to finish 22-0.

Central's perfect regular season was the first for the boys program since going to a full schedule. The Tigers finished 10-0-1 in the late 1980s but lost in the district playoffs.

"We feel really good," Central coach Tom Doyle said.

Heath Orr started the scoring for Central with his 28th goal of the season in the 15th minute. Goalie Tony Leuckel got the assist.

"They're a good team, but they play kind of soft," Doyle said of Jefferson City. "When we got the first goal we kind of got hungrier."

The Tigers went to halftime with a 1-0 lead but added a pair of quick goals a little more than 10 minutes into the second half to put the game away. Jordan Duncan scored on an assist from Orr 12 minutes into the half, and just three minutes later Calen Wills scored from Duncan.
