Cape Girardeau Central High's girls tennis team finished off its third consecutive undefeated dual-match season Monday as the Lady Tigers blanked visiting Sikeston 9-0.

The Lady Tigers, who improved to 12-0, won five matches 8-0.

Central's JV won its match 13-2.

The Lady Tigers will shoot for their third straight district championship when the Class 4A, District 1 Tournament is held Thursday in Sikeston.

Meadow Heights 15-16, Perryville 10-14

PATTON -- Meadow Heights improved its record to 12-6 with a victory over Perryville.

Mariah Bollinger and Rachel Yount each had nine kills for Meadow Heights (12-6). Bollinger added nine blocks while Yount turned in five blocks and 21 digs. Desiree Yount contributed four kills, eight blocks and 34 assists.

Kristen Taylor had seven points and three kills for Perryville (10-10-2) while Nicole Blechle had eight assists and three kills. Natalie Bohnert contributed five kills while Shannon Dreyer added six assists.

Perryville's JV prevailed 3-15, 15-5, 15-8.

Leopold 15-15, Chaffee 8-9

CHAFFEE -- Leopold swept host Chaffee Monday, dropping the Lady Red Devils to 4-9 on the season.

Kate Nolen had five kills for Chaffee while Amy Burnett had eight service points.

Valle 15-15, St. Vincent 6-5

STE. GENEVIEVE -- Valle posted a sweep over visiting St. Vincent Monday.

Jessica Lakenan led St. Vincent (6-10-4) with seven kills.

St. Vincent won the JV contest, 7-15, 15-13, 15-7.

The Squaws play their final home match tonight against St. Pius.

BOYS SOCCER

Jackson 3, Poplar Bluff 2

POPLAR BLUFF -- Behind record-setting Nathan Windeknecht, Jackson improved to 12-3-1 Monday by winning on the road.

Windeknecht, who over the weekend had broken Jackson's single-school goal-scoring record, tallied his 29th goal of the season Monday. He also had two assists.

Spencer Knowlan and Tyler Stearns also scored, while Knowlan had an assist.

Jackson's JV prevailed 2-0 behind goals from Matt Gordon and John Kleinhample.

The Indians play at Notre Dame Thursday.
