ST. LOUIS -- Defenseman Bryce Salvador will miss up to two weeks with a concussion suffered in Thursday's 4-1 win over the Buffalo Sabres, the Blues said Friday.

Salvador, 26, was hurt in the third period when Buffalo's Rob Ray hit him in the face with the butt end of his stick. Salvador was taken for X-rays.

Ray was suspended pending a hearing Monday, the NHL said.

The Blues recalled defenseman Christian Laflamme from Worcester of the American Hockey League to replace Salvador. Laflamme, 26, has played in five games with St. Louis this season, collecting one assist.

COYOTES: Left wing Andrei Nazarov, third in the NHL in penalty minutes, signed a three-year contract with Phoenix.

Phoenix acquired the 6-foot-5 Russian from Boston on Jan. 25 for a fifth-round draft pick in this year's entry draft.

RANGERS: Pavel Bure was not surprised - or particularly upset - when he found out that a pair of ex-teammates were critical of him.

In a blockbuster deal, Bure was traded from the Panthers to New York on March 18.

Trevor Kidd and Bill Lindsay ripped Bure for not working hard enough, and for being selfish.

"That's about what I expected," Bure told the New York Post. Bure will get to visit with his ex-teammates today when the Rangers visit the Panthers.

"If you have a problem, say it to someone's face," Bure told the Post. "Don't wait until somebody's gone. That shows what kind of people they are." Bure insists that he would have liked to stay in Florida.
