CAPE GIRARDEAU — Three area schools are set to compete in the Missouri State High School Activities Association district cross country meet.
Kennett will compete in the Class 3 boys race set for 9 a.m. Saturday at Cape Notre Dame Regional High School. The facility is located at 265 Notre Dame Drive off of Missouri Route K.
Admission will be $6 across the board — since this is a MSHSAA-sanctioned event.
Senath-Hornersville’s boys will compete at 10:20 a.m. In Class 2, with the Lions girls at 11 a.m.
The Campbell boys are set for the Class 1 race at 11:40 a.m., followed by the girls at 12:20 p.m.
Keep in mind, Notre Dame officials have reconfigured its course around the campus this year.
The current weather forecast for Saturday’s meet has an 80 percent chance of rain, and temperatures in the low 60s.
Timing will be provided by Eagle Eye, with live results featured at eagleeyetiming.com.
Last year, Dunklin County had just one state qualifier in Senath-Hornersville’s Ricardo Gonzalez. The top 30 individuals and three teams will qualify for state. Runners will receive medals. The top-two teams will receive plaques.
