It took three games, but the Bell City volleyball team earned another district title Tuesday.
The Cubs defeated No. 3 seed Bernie 25-20, 22-25, 25-18 to claim the Class 1 District 2 championship.

Bernie closed its deficit to 16-12, but Bell City pulled out the victory.

The Cubs will face a familiar foe in Saturday's sectional round. They will play Leopold for the right to play in the Class 1 quarterfinals.
The Indians wrapped up their regular season with a lopsided road win.
Senior Brice Steger recorded a hat trick, while Law Duncan and Zack Taylor both added one goal in the win.
Cody Boehme earned one assist for the Indians. Austin Baker made one save in each half to pick up the win.
The top-seeded Indians (14-6) open Class 3 District 1 play Tuesday when they face the winner of the Central vs. Poplar Bluff game.
The Crusaders begin Class 1 District 1 play Saturday when they play Hancock.

Notre Dame opens Class 2 District 1 play at home Saturday with the 2 p.m. game against Fredericktown. Perryville and Sikeston will play in the 4 p.m. game.
