Sara Thompson scored the only goal Jackson would need in the first half as the host Indians turned back rival Notre Dame 2-0 on Monday.

Jeanette Powell added an insurance goal in the second half for Jackson, which improved to 14-2.

Jackson goalkeeper Sarah Blanton made five saves in the shutout.

Notre Dame fell to 6-7.

Brett Dirnberger had a triple and a double among his three hits as the Rams won on the road on Monday.

Ryan Brock recorded the win on the mound for Scott City (8-5). He struck out one, walked two and allowed three hits.

Ben McCormick struck out 10 over 6 2/3 innings and took the loss for the Cardinals (10-10). He walked three, hit three batters and allowed six hits.

Dirnberger broke a 1-1 tie in the seventh inning with a two-out triple. Dirnberger also scored on the play, crossing home on a throwing error.

Joe Elfrink had a double to help the visiting Wildcats pick up their 10th win of the season.

Zach Elfrink earned his fourth win on the mound for Leopold (10-5-1), striking out nine batters and walking one.

James Jansen had two hits for Leopold, while Zane Eggimann had two hits for the Hornets.

Grant Dix had three hits for the Pirates (9-9), while Hoehn, Trevor Martin and Sean Merk all had two.

Winning pitcher Chase Urhahn, Chase Simmons, Cambron Womack and Justin Landewee all had doubles for Notre Dame (18-3).

Landewee and Griffin Siebert both had two hits for the Bulldogs.

Urhahn allowed two hits and walked six over five inning. He also had three strikeouts.

Dylan Milisits had two hits to pace the Eagles (9-7).

Leopold defeated Advance 12-7 in the championship game of the Oak Ridge Invitational in their most previous encounter.

Kelly Invitational

The Hawks repeated as champion of their own nine-team Kelly Invitational with a four-stroke victory at the Cape Girardeau Jaycee Municipal Golf Course.

Kelly, led by Derrick Garner's third-place 79, finished with a 367 total. Doniphan and Clearwater both finished at 371.

Kennett's Aaron Beck was the medalist with a 7-over-par 77, finishing one stroke ahead of Advance's Brian Whitson.
