Jackson's Eli Pike carded a two-over-par 74 to place second individually overall as the Indians finished two strokes behind Poplar Bluff to place second overall at the Class 4 District 1 boys golf tournament Tuesday at the Crescent Farms Golf Course in Eureka, Mo.

Rockwood Summit's Ryan Martin shot a one-under-par 71 to earn the medalist honors for the Falcons, who finished six strokes behind Jackson for third place.

Braden Cox belted a triple as the Rams wrapped up conference play with a victory at home over the Braves, crowning them the Scott-Mississippi Conference regular-season champions.

Jordan Kluesner was the winning pitcher for Scott City (14-11, 5-0 Scott-Mississippi Conference). He threw three innings and gave up three hits with six strikeouts and four walks.

Steven Burton took the loss on the mound. He also pitched three innings and allowed four runs (three earned) on four hits. He had one strikeout and two walks to pace SCC (8-7, 2-3).

Thomas Trankler had a triple for Oran (13-3, 3-1 Scott-Mississippi Conference).

Ty Householder sustained the loss on the mound. He went the distance, gave up seven earned runs and had 10 strikeouts.

Mitchell Proctor added a double and two RBIs to pace Kelly (9-15, 2-3).

Logan Heisserer blasted a solo home run as the Bulldogs rebounded from a loss to Poplar Bluff in the SEMO Conference tournament championship to clinch their 20th win of the season in the nine-inning road victory over the Tigers at GCS Stadium in Sauget, Illinois.

Adam Pope got the win on the mound in relief of Hunter Eftink. Pope pitched the last three innings, allowed one run on one hit and had three strikeouts. He also doubled at the plate for Notre Dame (20-4).

Devin Williams took the loss. He pitched 2 2/3 innings and gave up two runs on six hits with one strikeout and no walks.

Robert Brewer hit a double and had three of the Tigers' four hits to pace Festus (13-7).

Rachel Crites netted three goals to lead the Indians in the conference road win over the Tigers.

Lauren Welker scored two goals for Jackson (16-2-1, 3-0 SEMO Conference). Megan Hawk and Grace Pehle each had one goal and one assist for the Indians.

Goalkeeper Samantha Schnicker had one save in the shutout.

Central fell to 5-11 overall and 1-2 in conference play.

Kelly 2, Fredericktown 1 (OT)

Kelly's Savannah Whitten and Hailey Noon each scored one goal as senior night was made memorable for the Hawks in their inaugural varsity soccer season with an overtime win over the Black Cats.

Tessa Johnson provided one assist for Kelly (7-8-1).

Goalkeeper MaShanda Reed had one save.

Fredericktown fell to 1-15 with the loss.

JV -- Kelly won 2-0

St. Vincent 1, Notre Dame 0

Lauren Carron scored the game-winning goal unassisted to pick up the victory for the Indians at the Perryville Soccer Complex.

Carron's goal deflected off a Notre Dame defender from 18 yards out with 27 minutes left in the first half that allowed St. Vincent (10-9) the win.

Goalkeeper Brett Schario grabbed two saves in the shutout.

Notre Dame dropped to 6-14 with the loss.

BOYS VOLLEYBALL

Affton 25 25, Notre Dame 21 19

Rhett Simmons recorded six kills and nine digs, but it was not enough as the Bulldogs fell in straight sets to the Cougars on the road in the suburban St. Louis area in a battle of the top two teams in Class 3.

Tyler Allen tallied five kills and six digs for No. 2 Notre Dame (14-5). Evan Landewee dished out 17 assists for the Bulldogs.

Affton, the top-ranked team, improved to 20-6 with the victory.
