All the local high school events reported Monday to the Southeast Missourian.

Kelly scored six runs in the bottom of the first inning and added four more in the second, jumping to an early lead before hanging on to defeat Woodland 14-10 in boys baseball action Monday in Marble Hill, Mo.

Aaron Grainger also picked up his first win of the season on the mound for the Hawks. He threw 4 2/3 innings and gave up one earned run on three hits with six strikeouts and three walks. He also helped himself at the plate with a home run.

Gabe Felter smacked a home run and went 2 for 4 at the plate for Kelly.

Dylan Miller paced the Cardinals with a triple, while Landon Johnson added a double.

Leopold 4, Chaffee 3

Dillan Vandeven hit a double in the Wildcats' road win.

The Wildcats were the home team on the scoreboard but the game was moved to Chaffee due to wet field conditions in Leopold.

Joe Elfrink picked up his first win of the season on the mound. He threw all seven innings and struck out five batters and walked five.

Pitcher Cody Payne took the loss for Chaffee. He threw three innings and gave up two runs on five hits with six strikeouts.

Cole Hanna had a double to pace the Red Devils.

Tori Lowrey slammed a two-run home run and belted a triple and a double with three RBIs to lead the Mules in the road win.

Jordan Ellenburg busted two triples and drove in a run for Bernie.

Blakely Bradshaw picked up her second win in the circle for the Mules.

Hannah Clark, who suffered her second loss on the mound, went 2 for 3 at bat to pace the Hornets.

Allison Moldenhauer scored three goals and had an assist to lead the Pirates to victory on the road.

Natalie Gremaud dished out three assists and recorded one goal for Perryville (3-2), while Brooke Hogard had a goal and an assist.

Goalkeeper Miranda Stewart snagged five saves for the Pirates.

Abby Schupert scored the lone goal for the Tigers (1-7).

* JV: Perryville won 8-0.

St. Vincent 3, Hillsboro 2

Holly Cissell scored a goal in the first minute of double overtime to help the Indians get the win on the road.

Cissell scored two goals and had an assist to lead St. Vincent (5-2).

Holly Blandford recorded two assists and one goal for the Indians.

Goalkeeper Katie Mattingly made six saves.
