All the local high school events reported Tuesday to the Southeast Missourian.

Denai Arnzen capped a three-run eighth inning with a two-out single to lift the Leopold softball team to an 11-10 home victory over Woodland on Tuesday.

Arnzen's hit scored Emily Elfrink, who had doubled in two runs earlier in the inning.

Elfrink also had a three-run home run in the sixth inning. She finished 4 for 5 with five RBIs.

Shelbee Miller added three hits, while Allison Woodfin and Ashley Keim both had two hits for Leopold (5-0). Keim had a double among her hits.

Caitlin Petty pitched all eight innings for the win. She struck out two, walked three and allowed 13 hits.

Chelsey Kirkpatrick had a triple among her three hits, while losing pitcher Kathlyn Cooper had a double and two hits. Josey Long went 4 for 4, and Keighlyn Lincoln had two hits.

The Tigers won five singles matches and all three doubles matches for a home victory.

Dakota Zoellner drove in two runs for the Blue Jays (4-4).

Aaron Smith went 2 for 4 at the plate but took the loss on the mound.

Alex Heuring drove in two runs, but it wasn't enough for the Eagles in the road loss.

Seth Ressel, who went 2 for 3, doubled and scored a run for Oran (7-2). Ressel took the loss in relief after allowing five runs, two earned, over 1 2/3 innings. He walked two and struck out two.

Only three of Cooter's eight runs were earned, while four of Oran's seven runs were earned. There were 15 errors in the game.
