The Oran girls basketball team's season came to a heartbreaking end Monday.

The Eagles rallied in the fourth quarter to force overtime, but Lesterville proved too much in the extra session.

Lesterville outscored Oran 14-3 in overtime to post a 75-64 win in the Class 2 District 3 semifinal.

Cheyanne King paced the Eagles with 22 points, while Haley Glastetter added 16.

Lesterville will face top-seeded Meadow Heights in Thursday's 6 p.m. championship game.

The Panthers defeated Greenville 67-38.

Meadow Heights jumped on Greenville early, opening a 13-point lead after the first quarter. But Greenville stormed back to get within eight at halftime.

The Panthers, ranked No. 4 in the latest state poll, pulled away in the third quarter.

Whitney Welker led the Panthers with 25 points, while Erin Bollmann added 15.
