The Scott City boys basketball team used steady output to stave off a comeback attempt and defeat Kelly 55-51 in a conference dual under the bright lights at FedEx Forum in Memphis, Tennessee, on Thursday afternoon.

The Hawks had a 21-point fourth quarter to rally, but the Rams nine-point lead after three quarters was too much to overcome.

Trent Pobst led Scott City (8-6, 4-0 Scott-Mississippi Conference) with 15 points while Jordan Kluesner pitched in 14.

Maurice Davis paced Kelly (7-7, 0-2) with 13 points and Kade Proctor added 12.

The Rams won the game at the free-throw line, hitting 21 of 29 from the stripe compared to Kelly's seven total free throws.

Josh Robinson netted 12 points and Aaron Mueller chipped in 10 points for Perryville (11-3), which erupted in the second half and outscored the hosts 48-24. Nathan Noland recorded nine points and eight rebounds for the Pirates.
