Senior standout Zach Beel sank a 3-pointer with four seconds remaining in the game as the Woodland boys basketball avenged an earlier loss this season to Jackson with a 55-54 road win on Tuesday.

Beel nailed a game-high 30 points for Woodland, which improved to 10-3. The Cardinals held a 30-22 lead at halftime before the Indians went on to outscore the visitors by seven points in the second half.

Cameron Hester recorded 15 points and Pete Lake added 14 points for Jackson, which fell to 9-7. The Indians defeated the Cardinals 69-45 in a quarterfinal of the Southeast Missourian Christmas Tournament on December 28 at the Show-Me Center.
