MURFREESBORO, Tenn. -- Southeast Missouri State University's baseball team was foiled in its hopes for a three-game sweep here Sunday as Middle Tennessee State posted a 9-6 victory.

The Indians, who had swept MTSU in a doubleheader Saturday, fell to 17-19 overall and 6-5 in OVC play. The Raiders are 13-23 overall and 6-6 in the league.

Lanson Debrock (4-5) suffered the loss. He pitched 3 1/3 innings, allowing five hits and four runs.

Four Indian hurlers followed Debrock to the mound, with Allen Landgren being tagged for a Bryan Peck grand-slam in the seventh as the Raiders opened a 9-3 lead.

Southeast, which led only once at 1-0 in the first inning, had 13 hits, including Darin Kinsolving's team-high seventh home run of the season. Kyle Yount had three hits while Kinsolving, Jeremy Johnson and Jeff Bourbon added two each. Kinsolving drove in three runs.

Kinsolving's solo blast in the ninth made it 9-5. The Indians scored again and had the tying run at the plate when the game ended.

MTSU had 10 hits, including homers from Peck and Josh Pride, his 12th.

Southeast plans at St. Louis Tuesday night.
