The Jackson baseball surrendered three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning and went on to suffer an extra-innings loss at Oakville on Saturday.
Oakville rallied for the 7-6 victory against Jackson closer Kyle Brown, who suffered his first loss after converting four save opportunities this season.
Tyler Beussink had two hits for the Indians (8-4).

Perryville 3, Carbondale 2
After losing to Springfield 5-0 in the semifinals of the Fralish Cup early Saturday, Perryville topped Carbondale to capture third place in the tournament in Carbondale, Ill.
Ashley Hadler, Jocelyn Moll and Amber Hacker scored goals for the Pirates (8-5). Chris Schremp had one assist and Ashley Riney had two. Goalie Chastity Marr had 20 saves in the last two games.

Oak Ridge Softball Tournament
Erika Kaufmann pitched seven innings and struck out 13 batters to lead Scott City to a 5-1 semifinal victory over Oran.
Kaufmann went 2-for-2 at the plate, and Amber Hester hit a grand slam for the Rams (7-4).

Jim Simpson Relays
The Jackson girls team took first place at the Jim Simpson Relays in Farmington late Friday night.
The Indians finished with 94 points, edging host Farmington, which scored 86.
Jackson's 400 and 800 relay teams both won. Melanie Essner, Rachel Kahle, Rebecca Martin and Jenna Holten ran both relays.
Holten also won the 200-meter dash, and Martin also picked up a win in the shot put.
