The Misfits compiled a 6-1 tournament record in winning the title. The squad advanced to the championship game with an 18-17 trimming of Megan Sports, a 10-5 win over Chicks Tap Room, a 17-10 victory over All-Star Gas, a 19-4 rout of Wave Computers and 13-5 win over Winners Edge.

Winners Edge avenged the loss with an 18-4 victory in the first championship game of the double elimination tournament. But The Misfits bounced back with a 20-8 thumping for the crown.

With the win, the team advances to the National ASA Tournament in Altamonte Springs, Fla., in September.

The Misfits consist of Lynn Cavness, Stanley Gaines, Timmy Green, Derrick Voerg, Travis Green, Eugene Benefield, Scott VanGennip, Scott Sieler, Roderick Davis, Derek Gaines, Troy Hamilton, John Wayne Thele, Gary Don Abernathy, Randy Flath, Steve Young, Dwayne McClanahan, Dwight Ford, Loy Schrum and Coach David Petry.
