Three players from both Notre Dame and Scott City highlight the Class 2A all-district basketball teams that were -- along with the Class 1A squads -- released today.

On the boys side, Scott City's high-scoring Dustin Cauble -- who averaged 26 points per game -- and teammate Chris Sisk join Notre Dame's Dirk Dirnberger on the 2A team.

Included on the 2A girls squad are Melissa Maurer and Amanda Lange of state runnerup Notre Dame, along with Scott City's Sara Emerson.

Among other players on the 2A teams are St. Vincent's Jonathan Wengert and Woodland's Shawn Massa on the boys side; along with Kelly's Jennifer McNeill for the girls.

Notre Dame's Jerry Grim shared 2A girls coach of the year honors with East Carter County's Steve Williams.

Among those players on the 1A boys team are Scott County Central's Marcus Blissett, Delta's Garrett DeBrock, Advance's Brock Cato, Oak Ridge's Kirt Ruehling and Marquand's Dusty Stephens.

Included on the 1A girls squad are Scott County Central freshman Vontrice Blackmon and her teammate Ashley Whitson, along with Delta's Jody Below.

The 3A and 4A all-district squads will be announced Wednesday.
