Delta (3-9) had eight hits, led by Sarah Cook, Rebecca Cook and Tiffany Johnson with two apiece.

Kelly 7, Perryville 2

Whitney Beggs fired a one-hitter and struck out nine to lead Kelly over host Perryville (4-10).

Amanda Roth suffered the loss despite just three hits.

Jackson Tournament

The Jackson Invitational, rained out last weekend, has been rescheduled for today at Jackson City Park.

First-round games in the 16-team bracket will begin at 8 a.m. with the championship scheduled for 6:30 p.m. A single loss will eliminate teams from championship contention.

Fifteen of the original 16 teams will be in the field. Perryville has a schedule conflict and will be replaced by Seckman's junior varsity. The field: Goreville (Ill.), St. Louis Notre Dame, Nerinx Hall, Central, Lutheran South, Seckman (varsity, JV), Fox, Poplar Bluff, Jackson, Hannibal, Vienna (Ill.), Kelly, Cor Jesu, Cape Girardeau Notre Dame and Incarnate Word.

Cost is $2 for adults and $1.50 for students.

Boys' soccer

CENTRAL 2, LEE'S SUMMIT NORTH 0

Central (7-4) defeated the state's 10th-ranked squad during the 12-team Capital City Invitational in Jefferson City, Mo.

Heath Orr and Calen Wills scored first-half goals, Grant Hengst added an assist and Aaron Meystedt recorded the shutout.

Volleyball

BELL CITY 13-15-15, MEADOW HEIGHTS 15-4-12

Bell City (13-4) rallied to pick up a road victory.

Katie Niemczyk led the way with nine kills, eight digs and 14 service points. Katie Goodman had eight digs, Whitney Abner recorded 19 assists and Erin Dissler added 12 service points.

Oran 15-15, Woodland 11-8

Woodland (0-13) remained winless as Oran (6-7-3) picked up a road victory.

Oran was led by Teresa Hodges with 10 service points, five kills and one block. Jessica Prino added nine points and Amber Seyer had four points and four kills.

For Woodland, Jenna Greer had five kills, Amanda Abner had four digs and six assists, and Sierra Roberts and Candice Abner both added four digs.

Woodland won the JV match 15-9, 7-15, 15-12.

New Salem splits

New Salem Baptist Academy split a pair of matches during a tri-meet in Poplar Bluff, Mo.

New Salem (5-3) beat People's 15-3, 15-2 and lost to Southern Missouri Christian 10-15, 15-7, 15-6.

Against People's, Holly Jordan had seven service points and Sarah Green added four. Against Southern Missouri, Jordan had seven kills and four service aces while McKenzie Jones added three aces.
