Southeast Missouri State senior sprinter Jerika Lewis was named the Ohio Valley Conference female field athlete of the week on Tuesday.

Lewis won the 100 meters and 200 meters with career-best times during Saturday's 32nd annual Joey Haines Invitational hosted by Southeast.

Lewis broke her own school record in the 200 with a time of 23.91 seconds, the best mark in the OVC so far this season. Her time in the 100 was 11.84. She also anchored Southeast's 1,600 relay team to a second-place finish.

Southeast returns to action this weekend at the Sea Ray Relays in Knoxville, Tenn.

Southeast resumes its spring exhibition schedule today with its only home match, against Missouri-St. Louis at Houck Stadium with a 7 p.m. start.

The Redhawks opened their three-match spring season at Arkansas State on Friday. They tied the Red Wolves 2-2, with Jacey Boyko and Ashley Brendel scoring Southeast's goals.

Southeast closes out its exhibition campaign at Austin Peay on April 19.
