Rain postpones Southeast baseball
Southeast Missouri State's scheduled home baseball game Wednesday against Missouri-St. Louis was postponed due to wet field conditions caused by rain late Tuesday night and early Wednesday morning.
The contest has been rescheduled for 5 p.m. May 7 at Capaha Field.
Southeast (20-22, 12-9 Ohio Valley Conference) returns to action this weekend with a three-game home series against OVC co-leader Jacksonville State. The Redhawks are fifth in the 11-team league.
Starting times this weekend are 5 p.m. Friday, 2 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. Sunday.
Track
Southeast sophomore jumper Reggie Miller Jr. has been named the OVC male field athlete of the week.
Miller won the high jump at Friday's Lenny Lyles-Clark Wood Invitational in Louisville, Ky., clearing 6-feet, 11 inches. He has the OVC's top high jump and triple jump (50-2 1/2) this year.
