Saxony Lutheran opened its own Saxony Christmas Tournament with a 76-25 win over Marquand on Wednesday at Saxony Lutheran.

The Crusaders improved to 6-1. Saxony will play Zalma today in the round-robin portion of the event.

Max Wieser and Alex Jauch had 13 points apiece for Saxony, and Garrett Ruppel added 10.

Chris Our Savior Lutheran of Evansville (Ill.) beat Valle Catholic 45-39 in the other tournament game.
