Cape Girardeau native Susan Beth Scott won her first medal at the 2012 Paralympic Games as a member of the U.S.'s 400-meter relay squad that took silver Sunday in London.
Scott teamed with Victoria Arlen, Jessica Long and Anna Eames to nip Great Britain for second in 4 minutes, 24.57 seconds. Australia won the gold in 4:20.39.
Scott will compete in her second individual event -- 100 backstroke -- today.
