Southeast Missouri State University has announced its 1997-98 men's basketball schedule which includes 15 home dates, including a Nov. 26 contest against the Bradley Braves of the Missouri Valley Conference.

The road schedule looks most interesting with contests at Missouri and Colorado of the Big Twelve Conference, Louisville of Conference USA and Southern Illinois of the Missouri Valley.

The home schedule at the Show Me Center starts with two exhibitions on Nov. 10 and Nov. 14. In addition to the nine Ohio Valley Conference home games, Southeast will also host Central Methodist, Oakland City and Truman State.

"It is certainly a tough schedule, but one we look forward to," said Gary Garner, who will be entering his first year as the Indians' head coach. "It will be great to have a team like Bradley at the Show Me Center and will certainly be a challenge to go against teams like Colorado, Missouri, Louisville and Southern Illinois."

Southeast opens the regular season Nov. 16 at Colorado with the first regular season home game scheduled Nov. 21 against Central Methodist.

Under new OVC scheduling, Southeast will play two OVC games prior to the Christmas break. Tennessee State comes to the Show Me Center Dec. 4 and the Indians also host Austin Peay Dec. 6.
