The SEMO Magic 16-and-under softball team dropped its first game in double-elimination play Tuesday at the NSA World Series in East Peoria, Ill.
The Magic lost 4-2 to the Past Time Americans out of Kankakee, Ill.
Miranda Schlosser took the loss, allowing five hits in five innings. Schlosser struck out six and walked two.
Alana Weissmueller led the offense with two hits and a run scored. Schlosser had a double and scored a run, and Whitney and Courtney Ostendorf had an RBI each.
The Magic will try to stave off elimination today against the Sonics out of Ohio.
