The Southeast Missouri State football team climbed into the Sports Network FCS Top 25 on Monday for the first time since the final poll of 2010.
The Redhawks (4-2, 2-0 in OVC) are No. 23 in the poll following their 28-21 win against then-No. 21 Tennessee State on Saturday.
Southeast received 72 points in last week's poll, which made them the fifth-highest team to receive votes that was not in the Top 25. The Redhawks received 397 points this week.
The Redhawks, who also own a victory over No. 9 Southeastern Louisiana, join three other Ohio Valley Conference teams in the Sports Network FCS Top 25.
TSU dropped to No. 25 following its loss to the Redhawks. Jacksonville State remained at No. 8, while Eastern Kentucky moved up two spots to 17.
Southeast received 19 points in the FCS coaches poll, along with Harvard and Yale, which is the most points among teams that received votes but were not in the top 25.
Jacksonville State remained at No. 8, Eastern Kentucky moved up two spots to 16 and TSU dropped five spots to 25 in the coaches poll.

Redhawks senior cornerback Tim Hamm-Bey attracted individual honors nationally, being named TSN co-defensive Player of the Week. Hamm-Bey had six tackles, five pass-breakups and a blocked punt in the win over TSU.
Central junior Al Young has received a scholarship offer to play football at Southeast Missouri State for coach Tom Matukewicz, Central coach Nathan Norman confirmed Monday.
The 6-foot, 170 pound defensive back and wide receiver took an unofficial visit to Southeast on Saturday and was in attendance at the Redhawks' upset win over TSU.
Young leads the Tigers with 15 receptions for 270 yards and seven touchdowns. He has 466 yards rushing, averaging about 8 yards per carry, and seven touchdowns. He has 17 total touchdowns this season and has a team-high three interceptions.
Southeast senior quarterback Kyle Snyder has committed to play in the FCS National Bowl, which is, "an annual postseason all-star game consisting of the top players from college football FCS schools," according the event website.
The game will be played in December at Florida International University's stadium in Miami, and is attended by NFL and CFL scouts, according to the site.
