The Southeast Missouri State women's tennis team split two road matches over the weekend.
Southeast beat Dayton 5-2 on Sunday to improve to 2-5 and tie its victory total from last season.
The Redhawks dropped a 4-3 decision to IPFW on Saturday in Fort Wayne, Ind.
Southeast won four of the six singles matches against Dayton (2-10) and captured the doubles point by taking two of the three doubles matches.
The Redhawks split the six singles matches against IPFW (7-7) but dropped two of three doubles matches to the Mastodons, who claimed the doubles point.
Southeast has lost three matches by one point.
Elizabeth Nyenwe, Melissa Martin and Heather Robinson all won both of their singles matches. Nikole Novikova and Robinson teamed up to capture both of their doubles matches.
Martin, a freshman, leads the Redhawks with a 6-1 singles record.
Southeast visits Tennessee-Martin for its Ohio Valley Conference opener Sunday.
