Southeast Missouri State running back Tremane McCullough's performance against Murray State was recognized by three organizations on Monday.
McCullough, who was named the Ohio Valley Conference newcomer of the week on Sunday, was chosen as a College Sporting News National All-Star, the College Sports Madness OVC offensive player of the week and honorable mention Football Championship Subdivision National Performer of the Week by the College Football Performance Awards.
McCullough, a junior transfer from Arizona Western Community College, set his career high for the third consecutive week with 220 yards rushing and a touchdown on 27 carries. He's rushed for 100 or more yards in each of the last three games and his 220 is the most by any OVC player in a game this season. He also had four catches for 18 yards.
He is the first Southeast player to rush for more than 200 yards in a game since 2012 when Levi Terrell had 215 and ranks sixth nationally with 7.68 yards per carry.
Southeast's Jade Mortimer was named the OVC's defensive player of the week for the second time this season on Monday.
The junior libero had 44 digs in two losses last weekend. She recorded 17 digs in Friday's loss to UT Martin and 27 in Saturday's loss to Tennessee Tech.
She ranks first in the conference with an average of 4.67 digs per set and has 294 on the season.
The Southeast volleyball team was scheduled to play Western Illinois today in McComb, Illinois, but the match was postponed. The schools will discuss a potential make-up date.
The Redhawks, who are 5-12 and 1-3 in the OVC, return to action this weekend when they host Eastern Kentucky at 6:30 p.m. Friday and Morehead State at 2 p.m. Saturday.
