Just one day after announcing its newest men's basketball coach, Southeast Missouri State appears ready to announce its next women's basketball coach.
The athletics department announced Tuesday afternoon that there will be a press conference "regarding the future of its women's basketball program" at 11 a.m. Wednesday.
The press conference will be held on the upper northeast concourse of the Show Me Center, next to the athletics Hall of Fame, and will be televised on the Ohio Valley Conference's Digital Network.
There will be a reception following the press conference in the meeting rooms on the lower level of the Show Me Center that is open to the public.
The Redhawks new coach will be the eighth in program history and will replace Ty Margenthaler, who resigned from the position on March 23 after four seasons at the helm. Southeast was coming off a season where it was 10-19 and 3-13 in the OVC. The Redhawks were 37-78 and 18-46 in conference under Margenthaler's leadership and failed to make the OVC tournament.
