Notre Dame's Jordan Barber ramped up his senior season by winning the 400 meters in a pair of 16-team track meets last week.

Barber first handily won the Tiger Town Invitational in Festus, Mo., in 50.32 seconds, then again breezed to victory by more than a second at the Ste. Genevieve Invitational. He also helped the Bulldogs' 1,600 relay to a nearly six-second victory at Ste. Genevieve.

A week earlier, he won the 400 at the Jackson Invitational in a season-best 49.54.

Barber is a two-time Class 3 state qualifier in the 400.
