Westwood Hills Country Club will get the home-course advantage as it attempts to defend its title today in 12th annual Southeast Missourian Cup. The event, sponsored by the Southeast Missourian, is a 36-hole competition waged among area golf clubs. Four different formats nine holes apiece will be used on the Poplar Bluff course. In addition to Westwood Hills, the field will be comprised of Cape Girardeau Country Club, Kimbeland Country Club (Jackson, Mo.), Sikeston Country Club, Hidden Trails Country Club (Dexter, Mo.), Kennett Country Club and Bootheel Golf Club (Sikeston, Mo.).

Locally, Cape Girardeau C.C.'s team will be comprised of Mark McDowell, Mark Johnson, Larry McKinney, Ron Seabaugh, Lance Bray, Tom Owens, Al Spradling and Jack Connell.

Kimbeland C.C.'s team will consist of Greg Leet, John Harding, Jim Davey, Trae Thrower, Ken Hosea, Greg Howard, Dennis Drerup and Mark Mungle.
