Local boy placed on Babe Ruth all-star team
Ronnie Scott of Cape Girardeau has been selected for inclusion in the 2004 "Who's Who in Babe Ruth League."
A member of the Cape All-Stars, Scott was part of an elite group of players chosen each year. Less than five percent of the total players in the Babe Ruth league are even considered for the award.
Scott will be included in a book honoring him and his fellow all-stars, and his picture and profile will be on display.
The "Who's Who in Babe Ruth League" publication has included such former major leaguers, and Hall of Famers, as Carl Yastrzemski, Nolan Ryan, Joe Morgan, JimPalmer and Rod Carew.
