Three local players earned a spot on the Missouri Sportswriters and Sportscasters Association's high school all-state baseball teams, which were released recently.

In Class 1, Oran junior Caleb Seyer and Advance senior Trenton Moses earned first-team honors. In Class 4, Central senior Blake Slattery made the first team.

Seyer, a catcher, batted .382 with eight home runs and six doubles, 35 RBIs, 45 runs scored and 26 stolen bases. He also had a .719 slugging percentage and a .513 OBP.

"Caleb had a real good year for us," Oran coach Mitch Wood said. "He was pretty consistent all year long with the stick. He led off for us and usually if he started out with a bang then we started out with a bang as a team."
