Charles Anderson

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Charles H. Anderson, 88, of Perryville died Sunday, Feb. 2, 2003, at the Perry County Nursing Home.

He was born Feb. 4, 1914, in Perry County, son of Elliott and Rose Yeager Anderson. He was retired from Perryville Cheese Co. He and Merida F. Elder were married July 6, 1934. She died July 30, 1996.

He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Church in Perryville.

Survivors include one daughter, Elizabeth "Betty" LaRose of O'Fallon, Mo.; a sister, Helen Thompson of Perryville; two brothers, Thomas Anderson of Little Rock, Ark., and Joseph Anderson of Pontiac, Mich.; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter.

Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 6:30 to 11:15 a.m. Wednesday at Young & Sons Chapel in Perryville. Parish prayers will be at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Funeral Mass will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Vincent de Paul Church, with the Rev. Kevin Fausz officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
