Senior Ashley Millham became the top scorer in the history of Notre Dame girls basketball Thursday night in the Bulldogs' 73-45 road victory over Kelly.

Notre Dame also closed its regular-season schedule with its 12th consecutive victory, improving to 17-7.

Millham dislodged 2002 graduate Deana McCormick from the school's top spot with a 28-point effort. She pushed her career total to 1,468.

McCormick set the record last year with 1,457.

Sommer McCauley added 16 points for the Bulldogs.

Notre Dame took a 35-25 lead into halftime and broke the game open in the third quarter, which ended with the Bulldogs ahead 56-34.

Kelly Essner, 16 points, was they only Kelly player to finish in double figures.

Notre Dame, last year's Class 2 state champion, will host the Class 4, District 1 tournament next week. The top-seeded Bulldogs received a first-round bye and will play the Sikeston-Fredericktown winner at 6 p.m. Wednesday.

Central 63, Perryville 36

Central's senior-dominated team went out with a bang in its final regular-season home appearance with a lopsided win.

Celebrating senior night, Central (13-10) jumped to a 19-6 lead after one quarter and led 33-13 by halftime.

Central outscored the Pirates 17-10 in the third quarter. Senior Vicki Wilson led the Tiger seniors with 17 points. Fellow seniors Anna Brisso and Alex Wieser had 13 and 12 points, respectively. The Pirates (14-9) were led by April Lorenz's 23 points.

Scott City 71, Oran 32

Scott City held Oran to single-digit scoring in each of the first three quarters en route to a road victory.

Rachel Spinks finished with 19 points for Scott City (8-11). Kristin Schaefer added 10.

Teresa Hodges led Oran with 17 points.

Scott City took an 18-8 lead into the second quarter and led 35-16 at halftime.

Chaffee 66, Scott County Central 65

Jennifer Vandeven hit a game-winning free throw with 2.5 seconds left to lift Chaffee to a road win.

The Red Devils (6-12), led 36-28 at halftime and 50-41 after three quarters. The Bravettes went on a run in the fourth quarter and took the lead with less than two minutes left in the game. With the score tied 65-65 in the closing seconds, Vandeven was fouled while shooting and made the first of two free throws.

Vandeven finished with 18 points. Amy Holmes added 16 points for Chaffee, Mallory Kiefer had 17 and Samantha Hendrix 11. Jennifer Hoots led Scott County with 26 points. Janet Penrod added 14 and Christina Valenzuela had 15.

Delta 43, Sikeston 37

Delta improved to 20-2 with a win at home.

Sikeston took an 11-8 lead after one quarter, but Delta grabbed a 21-16 lead by halftime. Rebecca Below provided the Bobcats with the majority of their offense, leading all scorers with 25 points. Alison Blurton had 10 for Sikeston.

BOYS BASKETBALL

Meadow Heights 63, Woodland 61

Joey Bell poured in 34 points to lead the Panthers to a comeback win on the road.

Meadow Heights fell behind 20-11 after one quarter and trailed 53-42 going into the fourth quarter. The Panthers poured it on late, outscoring the Cardinals (9-12) 21-8 in the final quarter.

Alex VanGennip led the Cardinals with 26 points and Travis Benfield had 15. Brad Adams scored 13 for Meadow Heights.

Greenville 61, Oak Ridge 60

Oak Ridge's season of disappointments continued with a tough loss at home.

The Blue Jays (2-18) trailed 32-27 at halftime and 41-36 after three quarters. Oak Ridge outscored Greenville 24-20 in the final quarter, but could not overcome Greenville.

Zach Ruesler led the Blue Jays with 20 points. Alex Fadler added 14 and Austin Morrison had 12.
