Truman Moore

Truman E. Moore, 89, of Millersville died Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2003, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

He was born March 6, 1913, at Millersville, son of Albert and Maggie Statler Moore. He and Verda Loos were married Oct. 3, 1936. She died June 27, 1998.

Moore was a farm reporter 25 years with the ASCS Office. He was a lifelong member of Caney Fork Baptist Church near Millersville.

Survivors include three sons, Raymond Moore of Jackson, Wayne Moore of Cape Girardeau, Lonnie Moore of Millersville; a daughter, Bonnie Johnston of Cape Girardeau; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.

Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson after 5:30 p.m. today.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Rocky Tallent officiating. Burial will be in Caney Fork Baptist Cemetery.
