Georgia assistant coach Jim Harrick Jr. was suspended Friday, a day after a former player accused him of paying his expenses and committing academic fraud.

Football coach Jack Harbaugh resigned just two months after leading Western Kentucky to the NCAA Division I-AA championship. Harbaugh, who coached the Hilltoppers to a 91-68 record in 14 seasons, stepped down "to pursue other opportunities," according to a statement from the university.

Football

Cowboys coach Bill Parcells traded for the receiver he once derisively called "she," giving up an undisclosed draft pick to acquire Terry Glenn from the Green Bay Packers. Glenn restructured his contract, getting a five-year deal tailored to help the Cowboys' salary cap.

Golf

Tiger Woods made sure he wasn't part of the nail-biting drama in the Match Play Championship, winning six of the first seven holes in a ruthless display of golf to beat Stephen Leaney and advance to the quarterfinals. David Toms, who spent four hours in the hospital overnight with food poisoning, mustered whatever strength he had left to win the last two holes, making a 15-foot birdie putt on the 18th for a 1-up victory over Alex Cejka.

Joseph Harper, the leader of a Ku Klux Klan splinter group, said he will demonstrate in support of Augusta National Golf Club's all-male membership during the Masters. Augusta National, a private club that hosts the Masters each year, issued a statement disavowing any group that seeks to use the tournament as a political soapbox.

Motorsports

Stanton Barrett won the pole for the Busch Series race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway when rain washed out qualifying. The 43-car field for today's Sam's Town 300 was set by 2002 car owner points.

Olympics

Two senators visiting the headquarters of the U.S. Olympic Committee said they may have found evidence of possible fraud. Republican Sens. Ben Nighthorse Campbell of Colorado and Ted Stevens of Alaska would not elaborate. "It touches on criminal activity, but I'm not sure we can verify it yet," Stevens said.

Tennis

Marino Zabaleta of Argentina celebrated his 25th birthday Friday by defeating Gustavo Kuerten 7-6 (4), 6-7 (3), 7-5 and reaching the finals of the Mexican Open. Zableta will play Felix Mantilla or Augustin Calleri for the championship of the $890,000 tournament.
