BLOOMFIELD, Mo. -- Nina Pennington, 78, of Bloomfield died Thursday, Feb. 27, 2003, at her home.
She was born March 18, 1924, at New Madrid, Mo., daughter of Homer and Leona Widows Henson. She and Bill Pennington were married in 1970 at Sikeston, Mo. He died Sept. 19, 1984.
She was a former employee of Elder Manufacturing Co. in Bloomfield.
Survivors include a son, Jasper Pennington of Dexter, Mo.; two daughters, Glenda Foreman of Pooler, Ga., and Delores Phillips of Dexter; two stepsons, the Rev. Bill Pennington of Bloomfield and the Rev. Jerry Pennington of Puxico, Mo.; a stepdaughter, Charlene Willard of Cedar Hill, Mo.; a sister, Delphia Higdon of Sikeston; 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by five sisters.
Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. today at Rainey-Mathis Funeral chapel in Dexter, with the Rev. Bill Pennington officiating. Burial will be in Walker Cemetery near Bloomfield.
