PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Clifford W. Clifton, 81, of Perryville died Saturday, March 1, 2003, at the Perry County Nursing Home.

He was born May 23, 1921, in Menfro, Mo., son of Dhurman and Cartha Sandlin Clifton. He and Leola Milliano were married Aug. 16, 1941, in Perryville.

He was a member of First Baptist Church in Perryville, Masonic Lodge 670 and Perryville American Legion Post 133. He was an Army veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by two sons and two brothers.

Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. today and from 6:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at Young & Sons Chapel in Perryville. An American Legion wake will be at 7 p.m. and a Masonic Lodge wake will be at 7:30 p.m. today. Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Dennis Cebulak officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Home Cemetery.
