SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- Police were searching for a bicyclist suspected of randomly riding up to at least 21 different women and punching them in the face.

An arrest warrant was issued Monday for Richard Jiron, 42, who has been linked by witnesses to three of the attacks, police said. Jiron was last seen Thursday, the day police released a composite sketch.

Charges could include felony battery, Sgt. Justin Risley said.

The attacks usually have come without warning, and the assailant doesn't say anything to his victims before speeding away on his bike.

According to court records, Jiron was sentenced to 90 days in jail for making threats in 1997. He also pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor charge of assault with a deadly weapon.
