SIKESTON, Mo. -- Geraldine Watkins, 92, of Sikeston died Tuesday, March 4, 2003, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

She was born Oct. 21, 1910, in Grant City, Mo., daughter of Samuel and Viola Lawrence Pratt. She and Clarence "Bud" Watkins were married Oct. 14, 1927. He died Oct. 8, 1957.

Watkins retired as a cook with Bell City Schools at Bell City, Mo. She was a member of First Southern Baptist Church at Bell City.

Survivors include six sons, Bill Watkins of Bell City, Gerald Watkins of Lillian, Ala., Bobby Watkins of North Las Vegas, Nev., Lonnie Watkins of Essex, Mo., Gary Watkins of Denver, Colo., Ronnie Watkins of Sikeston; a daughter, Norma Stovall of Bell City; 24 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by a daughter and two sons.

Friends may call at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston from 5 to 8 p.m. today, and after 1 p.m. Thursday at First Southern Baptist Church in Bell City.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the church. Burial will be in Forest Hills Cemetery at Morley, Mo.
