JONESBORO, Ill. -- Grace M. Nix, 90, of Dawsonville, Ga., formerly of Mill Creek, Ill., died Tuesday, March 11, 2003, at her home. She was born Oct. 12, 1912, in Union County, Ill., daughter of Horace and Minnie May Bullard Courtright. She and Chester Nix were married May 3, 1930. He preceded her in death on March 3, 1991...

JONESBORO, Ill. -- Grace M. Nix, 90, of Dawsonville, Ga., formerly of Mill Creek, Ill., died Tuesday, March 11, 2003, at her home.

She was born Oct. 12, 1912, in Union County, Ill., daughter of Horace and Minnie May Bullard Courtright. She and Chester Nix were married May 3, 1930. He preceded her in death on March 3, 1991.

She was a homemaker and a member of Mill Creek Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, Ernest Nix of Dawsonville; two daughters, Dora May Motler of West Covina, Calif., and Pearl Grooms of Nashville, Tenn.; two brothers, Jim Courtright of Jonesboro and Edward Courtright of Maine; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by four brothers and a sister.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Hileman & Parr Funeral Services in Jonesboro.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Johns Cemetery.
