To the editor:

The 10th annual Doctor-Lawyer Basketball Game fund raiser March 7 at Notre Dame Regional High School was another great success. We thank the Southeast Missourian, players, volunteers and many sponsors, which included other media. The coverage you provided enabled us to reach the numbers needed to accomplish our goal.

The lawyers and doctors gave many hours of time and energy in practices as well as during the game. Kudos to the co-chairpersons, Linda Puchbauer, Alecia Robert, Bryan Keller and Dr. Terry Spence.

The funds raised will stay in this area and will be used by our five-county area. We serve the mental-health needs of more than 6,000 people, and no one is turned away due to a lack of funds.

This event provided entertainment while enhancing our community mental-health programs. We are very grateful to those of you who support our effort to help people's lives work betters.
