Ruby Una Bullock, 88, of Silver Spring, Md., formerly of Cape Girardeau, died Friday, March 14, 2003, at her home.

She was born Jan. 17, 1915, in Champion City, Mo., daughter of Christian and Dorothea Gleize Michel. She and Thaddeus J.R. Bullock were married in 1942. He preceded her in death.

She lived nearly 60 years in Cape Girardeau, operating Bullock Piano Salon with her husband. They owned stores in Fredericktown, Mo., and Cape Girardeau. She also co-owned the Town Plaza Cafeteria and the Marquette Hotel, and was a piano teacher. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and First Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, Jerry Bullock of La Plata, Md.; three daughters, Carol Ann Finch of Silver Spring, Md.; Janet Kessler of Richmond, Va., and Jeanne Bullock of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.

The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Kensington Baptist Church in Kensington, Md. Burial will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park in Rockville, Md.
