Ascension Lutheran Church in St. Louis was the setting Nov. 16, 2002, for the wedding of Donna Lynne Bodenschatz and Heath Alan Doty. The Rev. Charles P. Spomer performed the ceremony. Reader and candlelighter was David Bodenschatz of Bettendorf, Iowa, brother of the bride. Organist was Carol Benninghoff and soloist was Rose Nester.

Parents of the bride are Leonard and M. Jane Bodenschatz of Jackson. The groom is the son of Howard and Gloria Doty of Lebanon, Ill.

Maid of honor was Dina Whitledge of Festus, Mo. Bridesmaid was Tonya Sanchez of St. Louis. Junior bridesmaid was Nicole Bodenschatz of Bettendorf, niece of the bride.

Van-Lear Eckert of St. Louis was best man. Groomsman was Chris Hesse of O'Fallon, Ill. Ushers were David Schatz of Naperville, Ill., and Mike Haukapp of Atlanta, Ga.

Ringbearer was Blake Bodenschatz of Bettendorf, nephew of the bride.

Renee Bodenschatz, sister-in-law of the bride, attended the guest book.

Following the ceremony, the reception was held at the Wild Flower Loft in St. Louis.

The rehearsal dinner was held at Al Smith's Feasting Fox.

Mrs. Doty received a bachelor of science degree in business administration from Southeast Missouri State University. She is a certified public accountant and financial services manager at Humes and Barrington, P.C.

The groom received a bachelor of arts degree in design from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale. He is senior industrial designer with Metaphase Design Group.

The couple resides in St. Louis.
