SIKESTON, Mo. -- Z.T. Jackson, 88, of Sikeston died Sunday, March 23, 2003, at Clearview Nursing Center.
He was born Nov. 26, 1914, in Charleston, Mo., son of W.E. and Mary Jackson. He and Mary Strack were married June 1, 1940, in Sikeston. She died Dec. 11, 2002.
Jackson was a self-employed carpenter. He was a member of First Baptist Church.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Survivors include two sons, Ed Jackson of Holt's Summit, Mo., Paul Jackson of Wisconsin; two daughters, Sharon Statler of Millington, Tenn., Martha Bohlman of Illinois; two brothers, Harvey Jackson of East Prairie, Mo., Paul Jackson of Charleston; a sister, Nellie Robertson of Cape Girardeau; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at Ponder Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. today.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. David Jackson officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery, with full military honors.
