Southeast's gymnasts posted a 195.35 team score at the Midwest Independent Conference Championships in Baton Rouge, La., the third highest in school history.

Overshadowing Southeast's strong fourth-place team score was a pair of school records posted by junior Ashley Godwin. Godwin set the beam record with a 9.975 and all-around record with a 39.550. Godwin also finished first on the floor exercise (9.9).

Southeast freshman Tara Boldt also had a strong performance on the beam with a 9.925. Boldt finished seventh in the all-around (38.575). Godwin was Southeast's top finisher in the vault (9.850) and bars (9.825).

Illinois-Chicago won the six-team meet with a 196.575, followed by Texas Women's University (195.975), host Centenary (195.575) and Southeast.

Southeast tennis team falls to Eastern Kentucky

Southeast's tennis team managed only one victory and fell 6-1 to visiting Ohio Valley Conference foe Eastern Kentucky.

Kay Ehlke, Southeast's No. 4 singles player, won 6-4, 6-1. The loss drops Southeast to 1-4.

The Otahkians host Austin Peay at 2 p.m. today.
