Notre Dame won 10 events and beat Principia 122-54 in a girls dual swimming meet Friday in St. Louis. Ashly Ducharme (200 and 500 freestyles) and Janelle Essner (200 IM, 100 butterfly) each won two individual events and were members of the winning 400 freestyle relay team. Other winners were Lauren Bader (diving), Jennifer Barrett (100 backstroke) and Maggie Glastetter (100 breaststroke)...

Ashly Ducharme (200 and 500 freestyles) and Janelle Essner (200 IM, 100 butterfly) each won two individual events and were members of the winning 400 freestyle relay team. Other winners were Lauren Bader (diving), Jennifer Barrett (100 backstroke) and Maggie Glastetter (100 breaststroke).

Notre Dame won the 200 freestyle relay and 200 medley relay. Members of the 200 freestyle were Barrett, Glastetter, Rachel Ruopp and Essner. The medley team was Barrett, Glastetter, Kristin Enderle and Ruopp. Ducharme, Essner, Ruopp and Molly Messmer won the 400 freestyle relay.

BASEBALL

Poplar Bluff 12, Scott City 2

Chris Smith allowed four hits and belted a three-run homer as Poplar Bluff rolled to a six-inning victory at home.

Kyle Curry went 2-for-3 for Scott City (0-3).

St. Vincent 7, Fredericktown 5

The Indians scored six runs in the fourth and won at home.

St. Vincent (2-2) trailed 4-1 after three innings. Dusty Cissell pitched a complete game for his second win. Cissell struck out four and allowed six hits with all of his runs unearned.

Brian Buchheit, Justin Ruessler and Anthony Brown had two hits each for St. Vincent.

Perryville 11, Woodland 1

Aaron Weibrecht struck out seven and Perryville won at home in six innings.

Weibrecht pitched a complete game, allowing only two hits and a walk. The Pirates spread the offense around, with nine different players combining for 11 hits. Luke Johnson took the loss for the Cardinals (3-3), going 4 2/3 innings, striking out four and walking six.

Advance 6, Bernie 3

Eric O'Hare struck out 10 and pitched a complete game as Advance won in six innings at home.

O'Hare limited Bernie to two hits but walked four and hit one batter. The Hornets (4-1) had only six hits with Rylan Dunivan going 2-for-3. The game was called after six due to darkness.

SOFTBALL

Dexter 14, Woodland 4

Woodland led 1-0 after the top of the first inning, but after that it was all Dexter as Woodland lost in six innings on the road.

The Cardinals got two hits apiece from Jenna Greer and Julie Huffman, and Kyla Hahn added a home run.

TRACK AND FIELD

Scott City girls win

Scott City's girl's track team won its second straight East Prairie Invitational.

Loren Groves led the Rams with four wins. Groves won the discus, shot put, 100-meter hurdles and 300 intermediate hurdles. Angie Laxton won both the 1,600 and 3,200 for the Rams. Christy Laxton won the 800 for Scott City and the Rams' 3,200 relay also won.

Scott City's boys took second. Jeremy Schlosser was second in the long jump for Scott City.

GIRLS SOCCER

Notre Dame vs. St. Vincent, postponed

Notre Dame and visiting St. Vincent postponed their game because of lightning. No makeup date has been set.

St. Vincent's JV won 1-0.
