"Dwelling in the secret place" conference for women from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Illmo Baptist Church in Scott City. Speaker is Laura Trapp of MorningJoy Ministries and music by Audrey Franklin and Celebration Generation. Cost is $12 and includes a light breakfast and lunch.

New Beginning Southern Gospel quartet will be in concert at 5 p.m. at Sedgewickville Baptist Church.

Gospel singing at 7 p.m. at Shiloh Baptist Church in Villa Ridge, Ill., with the Voices in Praise and the Gloryroad Travelers.

Sunday

"He chose the nails" multi-media worship event at Anna Heights Baptist Church in Anna, Ill., The performances are at 10:30 a.m., 4 and 7 p.m. and is based on a book by Max Lucado. Tickets are free and are available by calling the church at (618) 833-5916 or by e-mail at info@annaheights. com.

The Sanctuary Worship Choir and worship band of the church are presenting the program.

Lenten service at 7 p.m. at La Croix United Methodist Church with Rigoberto Lopez, Hispanic ministries pastor for the Southeast district, preaching. Music will be by the church's praise team. The offering collected during the service will benefit Hispanic ministries.

Tuesday

Ladies Circle of First Presbyterian Church in Cape Girardeau meets at 11:30 a.m. in the church parlor.

Joint meeting of the United Methodist Men and Women at 7:30 p.m. at Zion United Methodist Church in Gordonville. Guest speaker is Cathy LeFebvre of New McKendree Church in Jackson, who will speak about a program for incarcerated fathers. Refreshments will be served after the meeting.
