Rain continued to plague the start of the SEMO conference baseball tournament on Friday, washing out all but one game.

In the only game played on Friday, Poplar bluff defeated Dexter 8-7 in Poplar Bluff, Mo.

The rest of the tournament is scheduled to begin at noon today at Harmon Field in Chaffee, Mo., and at Notre Dame Regional High School.

In the noon game at Chaffee, No. 8 Chaffee will face No. 9 Kelly. The winner will meet top-seeded Sikeston at 2 p.m. at Harmon Field.

At Notre Dame, No. 7 New Madrid County Central will face No. 10 Scott City at noon. The winner will play No. 2 Cape Girardeau Central at 2 p.m. The day's action will conclude with No. 3 Notre Dame and No. 6 Jackson playing at 4:15.

The semifinals games will be held Monday night (5 p.m., 7 p.m.) at Capaha Field. Dates and times for the championship and consolation games have yet to be determined.
