Area real estate agent named to 'Top 21'

Ken Inman, a sales associate with Century 21 Ashland, was named in the Top 21 producing associates among Century 21 sales associates in Missouri/Kansas and Southern Illinois.

Inman was rated in the Top 21 out of 3,200 Century 21 sales associates. The award is based on the adjusted gross commissions. Inman attended the Top 21 agent retreat held in St. Louis on May 15 and 16.

Inman has over 30 years of business experience and has been with the Century 21 system for 5 1/2 years. Each year, he has been a top agent and Century 21 Centurion producer, which is the top Century 21 award.

Cape man assigned to patrol's Troop E

Missouri State Highway Patrol Capt. P.C. Baird announces three new officers have been assigned to Troop E Headquarters in Poplar Bluff, Mo. The new troopers recently graduated from the Highway Patrol Academy on May 3 and will be assigned to work with a field-training officer for an extended period.

Grant N. Williams, 25, Cape Girardeau, was assigned to Zone 7, which serves the residents of Scott, Mississippi and New Madrid counties. Williams graduated from Portageville High School and Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau.

Before being employed by the highway patrol, Williams served as a deputy sheriff in Cape Girardeau County. Williams' field training officer will be Trooper Dewey K. Heppe.

Hinkebein promoted at Girl Scouts council

Laura Hinkebein has been promoted to assistant executive director for Girl Scouts of Otahki Council. Hinkebein's responsibilities lie primarily in the area of fund development and communications. She has been with the Girl Scouts for 19 years.

"It is an honor to work for an organization that supports and advocates for children and provides experiences for girls to grow into caring, confident, strong young women," said Hinkebein. Girl Scouts of Otahki Council serves nearly 3,000 girls and 1,000 adult volunteers in eight counties in Southeast Missouri and three in Southern Illinois.
