MOUNDS, Ill. -- Dorothy Maye Taylor, 78, of Mounds died Wednesday, July 27, 2005, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

She was born April 2, 1927, in Yoakum, Texas, daughter of Hugo and Creola Yawn Schwabe.

Taylor was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Mound City, Ill.

Survivors include two daughters, Debbie Patrick of Mounds, Cindy Page of Jacksonville, Fla.; a friend, Clyde Holman of East Cape Girardeau, Ill.; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son.

Friends may call at Barkett Funeral Home in Mounds from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with Monsignor Bill McGhee officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery at Mounds.
